Manuel Velasco Coello (born 7 April 1980 in the capital Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas) is a Mexican politician affiliated to the PVEM. Currently acts as Governor of Chiapas, being the first PVEM politician to win a Governature. He has served on the three legislative levels of Mexico: Local Deputy, Federal Deputy and Senator. He is grandson of former Governor of Chiapas Manuel Velasco Suárez. ==Political career== Velasco entered in politics in 1999, two years later, in 2001 he became Local Deputy for the Congress of Chiapas, being the youngest legislator on a local congress.
